Flowers Lighting Designer

Roma Flowers,
member of United Scenic Artists, has designed lighting, worked as
technical director, and stage managed for theatre, concert and dance. A
recipient of a New York Dance and Performance Award (a.k.a. Bessie), she
considers herself fortunate to have worked with such diverse artists in
the field of dance and music such as the Alvin Ailey American Dance
Theater, Donald Byrd, The Dance Theatre of Harlem, Morris Day, Doug
Elkins Dance Company, Philip Hamilton, Hope Stone, George Clinton, Joan
Miller Dance Players, David Murray, Meshell N'degeocello, Rennie
Harris/Pure Movement, Doug Varone and Dancers and Kevin Wynn. Recent
theatrical productions that she has designed include Jubilee Theatres
production of "Cookin At the Cookery", "Bat Boy: The Musical", and the
premiere production of Brian Jucha's award-winning "We Have
Some Planes". Roma is a faculty member of Texas Christian Universitys
School for Classical and Contemporary Dance.
